Physical Characteristics Map: the map to the left shows vegetation throughout Peru. Most of the vegetation is inland and is the majority of the territory of Peru. What's surprising is that most of the population lives in the smallest environment zone.

Human Characteristic Map: the yellow figures in the map symbolize major cities and landmarks. Machu Picchu is one of the main cities shown on this map. It's believed that this city was the last capital of the Inca's. Historians have discovered this city "intact". They say this because many of the cities of the Incas were destroyed in their many conquests.

Physical Feature: Cordillera Blanca mountains, Peru. Cordillera Blanca is Spanish for "White Range". This part of the Andes is composed of 722 individual glaciers. With 33 majors peaks as high as 18,040 ft.

Human Feature: Nazca lines (hummingbird) in the Nazca Desert, Peru. Geologists believe that the Nazca lines were made around 400 and 650 AD. The Nazca lines were created by turning over and/or removing red-ish rocks and exposing the white earth.
